The Young Druze Professionals
The YDP was unofficially formed in the winter of 1994. The idea quickly grew and was presented to the community for the first time at the 1995 ADS convention. Since that time we have been working to establish an organization that will be able to not only withstand the test of time but that will also provide the community with valuable services. In furtherance of our objectives, the YDP has hosted many social events in the United States and Canada; published newsletters; published a directory which include information on our members as well as listings of Tawhid/Druze businesses; we have established a web site and have provided professional services and recommendation letters to our members. The Young Druze Professionals (YDP) membership is open to professionals with varying levels of academic accomplishment.
All members of the Druze Society are welcome.
... Making Friends
The Druze society is small by nature. Our new generations are losing touch with each other. By establishing the Young Druze Professionals we can establish a network of friends with the same cultural background that can grow together and be there for each other.
... Achieving Goals
One of our goals is to put the young Druze professionals in contact with one another, thus establishing a networking system within the community. In addition this will further unite Druze in the area, thus providing a stronger foundation for all Druze communities as a whole.

As young professionals we are the future leaders of our Druze community. It is up to you to take the first step and join. By working together we can make a difference.

We always welcome your ideas and comments. Here are some of our initial goals that we hope to achieve:
-A quarterly news letter keeping everybody up to date with our activities. Also, to publish important articles that we think are useful to our members.
-Three main meetings per year. These meeting may include dinner meetings, trips, picnics, etc. ( open to suggestions).
-General events, usually small groups getting together to do something of common interest.
-Internet connectivity, ADS-NET email facility will be utilized to communicate with members.
-Provide a directory of our members to our members. This directory will only include members that wish to be included in the directory.
-Discussion Panels that will help our members discuss their questions, concerns, and suggestions.
-Job Posting Panel that will help both, business owners to recruit people and for our members to find better jobs.
... YDP HOME PAGE/EMAIL
Our home page has been changing to meet our members needs. We have added a listing with a direct email link to all our members on the Net; a business section which will list all the Tawhid/Druze owned and operated businesses, in addition to the necessary contact information; an activity update section; and of course, our newsletters are online.
We are currently working on a new location for our home page, which allow us to add search engines, advanced techniques and flexibility in updating the home page and an on-line database system. Some of the projects planned for the home page are:
- An expanded business directory with advanced search engines.
- An expanded member search directory that will be password protected.
- A question and answer section that will also serve as a place where you can request information from our members.
- A community corners where the latest information about our activities will be posted.
- A publications corner where our latest publication can be found.
- A lost communication corner where we will list the names of members that we have lost contact with.
- An Online Book Club
The home page has been changing due to a lot of your comments and requests. We encourage you to keep on providing us with your feed back.

There are no membership dues to become a member of the Young Druze Professionals, all that is wanted is your friendship.
